Certifications & Compliance Documents

Every container we ship leaves the mill with a document set matched to your destination country. This guide explains each certificate we provide, what it proves, which markets require it, and how we obtain it — so your customs clearance is never held up by a missing paper.

The document set that ships with every order

Regardless of destination, every BH WOODLAND container includes a baseline document set: Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading (B/L), Certificate of Origin, Phytosanitary Certificate, and the ISPM-15 fumigation/heat-treatment mark on the packaging. On top of this baseline we add the market-specific certificates below.

SABER & SASO — Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia requires every regulated product to clear the SABER platform before customs release. There are two steps: a Product Certificate of Conformity (PCoC), issued once per product model against the applicable SASO technical regulation, and a Shipment Certificate of Conformity (SCoC), issued per consignment. We hold PCoCs for our plywood lines and apply for the SCoC against your invoice, so the certificate is in hand before the vessel arrives at Jeddah or Dammam.

ECAS — United Arab Emirates

The Emirates Conformity Assessment Scheme (ECAS) registers construction and consumer products with the Emirates Authority for Standardization & Metrology (ESMA / MoIAT). For plywood destined to UAE projects we provide the ECAS certificate plus the test reports it is based on, which UAE consultants typically request during material submittal.

CARB P2 & TSCA Title VI — United States

US imports of hardwood plywood must meet the California Air Resources Board (CARB) Phase 2 formaldehyde limits, which are now federal under EPA TSCA Title VI. We supply panels built with either NAF (no-added-formaldehyde) glue or third-party-tested MUF resin, accompanied by the mill panel certification and the certified laminator number. State the requirement at quotation and we route your order to a compliant line.

ISPM-15 & phytosanitary — pest compliance

ISPM-15 is the international standard for wood packaging material. Our pallets and dunnage are heat-treated and stamped with the IPPC mark. The Phytosanitary Certificate, issued by Vietnam’s Plant Protection Department after inspection, certifies the consignment is free of regulated pests. Together these clear quarantine in virtually every importing country.

FSC, EUDR & CE — European Union

EU buyers increasingly need three things. FSC Chain-of-Custody proves the timber came from responsibly managed forests — available from our FSC-certified partner mills. The EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) requires a due-diligence statement with plantation geolocation and legality evidence, which we compile per shipment. For structural applications, CE marking under the Construction Products Regulation certifies declared performance. Tell us your EU requirement at quotation and we confirm which of our mills can satisfy it.

How to request your document set

At quotation, tell us the destination country and end use. We confirm exactly which certificates apply, what they cost (most are included; SABER/ECAS/FSC may carry a small per-shipment fee), and the lead time to obtain them. Nothing about your documentation should be a surprise at the port.
